my favorite males and why. (former and present partners excluded)
dad. beside the fact that he's never doubted for a second that i can do whatever i set my mind to, it's nice to have a dad who likes rock n roll and has a bigger collection of record than yourself.
mr e. the words on beautiful freak says it all. you're not like all of the others.
maynard james keenan. for his beautiful voice and forceful lyrics (and the effect the combination has on me).
robert pollard. not only as the frontman for gbv and as an insainly productive songwriter, but for when he sang i am a scientist right into my heart on mtv in 1995-something and became a part of my empty teenlife.
george orwell. for writing 1984 and other great books on important topics and for standing up for what he belived in.
william godwin. for his political ideals and his openminded attitude and respect for mary wollstonecraft.
kevin smith. for making me laugh over and over and indulge in semi-obscure references.
douglas coupland. for writing girlfriend in a coma (and some other great novels).
[first i thought i would put john hughes on here, for the sole reason that he wrote and filmed the breakfast club, the best film ever, but then i came back to reality and realized he's done sooo many crappy movies so he doesn't deserve the spot.]
